Engage 2018, some HUGE announcements and the OGS Replay

Today, the Engage 2018 conference kicked off in Rotterdam at an amazing venue aboard the ss Rotterdam, the former flagship of the Holland America Line. The introduction was given by IBM Lifetime Champion for Collaboration Solutions, Theo Heselmans, who then handed over to IBM Talent and Collaboration Solutions General Manager, Bob Schultz to give the opening address.Here is the full replay of the Opening General Session:
A HUGE thank you to IBM Champion Tony Holder, who organised the broadcast of the session.
A summary of the major announcements regarding IBM and HCL's #domino2025 plans included:
- A new version 10 of Notes, Domino, Sametime, Verse and the IBM Domino Product Family will be released in 2018,
- The next version of the IBM Domino Product Family, version 11, will be released in 2019,
- Domino Applications will be available on iPad - meaning you can natively run Notes Databases on an iPad with zero code changes - this year with version 10 on a new iPad app,
- Domino Applications on Android and iPhone will be part of version 11,
- No-cost (as in FREE) access to a Domino server for development/training/self-enablement (IBM Domino Community Server is a free download!),
- Sametime Mobile is now FREE for all entitled users (including those accessing Sametime through entitled programs like IBM Notes/iNotes/Verse),
- Sametime multiple device and persistent login (the basis for persistent chat on Sametime mobile),
- A new container-based licensing model is soon to be available,

- Domino Applications on Cloud (DAC) is available NOW on the IBM Marketplace,
